Towards Resilient and Equitable Food Systems - Online Workshop

Toward Resilient and Equitable Food Systems (online workshop offered in partnership with the Morton Arboretum)

Four Tuesdays, September 20 through October 11, 2022 | 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. CT

How do we build resilient and equitable food systems? How do we advance policies and take collective action to leverage meaningful change at the systems level? Explore the intersection of agriculture, climate, the environment, and justice in this interactive online workshop, presented by Eco.Logic, in partnership with The Morton Arboretum.

In this workshop, you will be challenged to:

  • Think systematically about how modern agriculture contributes to climate change and is also made more vulnerable in the face of climate change.

  • Identify where injustices appear in our food system.

  • Examine ways to make our food system more resilient, equitable, and a climate solution.

  • Discuss how food sovereignty can be achieved through regenerative agriculture, permaculture, Indigenous knowledge, and other community-based solutions.

  • Learn to develop and advance policy proposals to leverage large-scale change.

This workshop will equip and empower you to impact change on the food system, whether locally or nationally. You will connect with a community of people committed to a more just, equitable, and sustainable food system. These connections can serve as a resource throughout the workshop and after the workshop is completed. All attendees who attend the entire workshop will be awarded a digital badge for completing the workshop.

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR THIS PROGRAM.
